About

Erin Bagwell is a documentary filmmaker, podcaster, and maternal health advocate.

In the summer of 2014 she launched a successful Kickstarter campaign, raising over $100,000 in funding to produce her first feature length film. Dream, Girl is a documentary about inspiring and ambitious female entrepreneurs produced by an all-woman crew. In May 2016, Dream, Girl premiered at the White House under the Obama administration and Erin went on to do a tour speaking alongside the film at over fifty screening events worldwide.

In 2018, Erin became a mother and started filming Year One. The documentary is an intimate look at the everyday extraordinary moments of being a mom while healing from postpartum depression. The film is an eight-time film festival select that premiered on Motherly’s social media platforms in May of 2021.

Erin’s story has been featured in Forbes, TED, Vogue, and The Washington Post and she was named one of Oprah’s SuperSoul100- a list featuring extraordinary individuals that live life intentionally, create great social impact, and bring inspiration to others. Erin was also featured in Apple’s Behind the Mac campaign featuring some of Brooklyn’s exceptional creatives.

Erin is also proud to be part of the American Film Showcase. Through her work with AFS, Erin travelled to Tajikistan, Egypt, and Morocco to screen her films, led filmmaking workshops, and talk about the importance of representing women's stories in media.

In 2023 Erin co-hosted and produced “Love in Common” a podcast about an ex-evangelical boomer, a gay artist, and a frazzled mom who go deep on what they have in common.
